BEETHOVEN PIANOS
Over the winter of 2011, I was given permission to work inside of the Beethoven Pianos warehouse in the South Bronx. Inside it were showrooms and restoration studios, but the mysterious storage areas with rows of blanket-wrapped grand pianos are what truly caught my attention. How long had they been there? Who had played them? And what magic had been drawn from them?
