Selected works on paper

Growing up around coastal areas, I spent a lot of time on the beach. Many of my important childhood memories took place there, and for as long as I’ve been painting the beach has been a theme that I constantly revisit. This summer, I decided to make a conscious effort to explore the significance of this long-standing theme and share some of the creative process that will eventually lead to more developed pieces. This is the beginning of an ongoing project and on display are the seeds that will be getting it started, including sketches and experiments as well as some older works going back to my earliest times painting outdoors.
